In the World Robot Olympiad 2022 International Round, Team LazyGo won the Bronze Medal. In 2023 and 2024, our members led the only Bangladeshi teams to compete globally. Now, we've reunited to conquer the World Robot Olympiad 2025.

Founded in 2022, Team LazyGo is a robotics team dedicated to excellence in the World Robot Olympiad's Future Engineers category. We don't just build robots; we build a legacy for Bangladeshi engineering on the world stage. Despite our playful name, we're anything but lazy when it comes to engineering excellence and competitive performance.
Founded by Prithul & Noor. Won nationals and secured Bronze Medal in Germany.
Noor's team mechaScratch_404 won nationals, achieved global rank 11.
Rakibul's team achieved global rank 20. Noor & Prithul became national judges.
Age limit increased to 22. LazyGo reunites with three international participants.

Team Lazygo, 2022

Team Lazygo, 2025
To win on the international stage and inspire the next generation of Bangladeshi engineers by showing them what is possible with passion, skill, and determination.
We combine cutting-edge technology (like LiDAR, ROS2, and advanced 3D printing) with relentless iteration and testing to build robots that perform reliably under every possible scenario.
Beyond competitions, our legacy includes mentoring younger teams, judging national competitions, and proving that Bangladeshi innovators can compete with and beat the best in the world.
Our objectives for the World Robot Olympiad 2025
Develop an advanced autonomous robot using industry-leading technologies such as LiDAR, ROS2. Though already done, using better components can significantly improve the performance.
Over the years, we've noticed an increase in the number of participants in the Future Engineers Category in the National Rounds. After we used LiDAR in the Open Championship, it inspired a lot of other teams to use similar advanced technologies. Multiple teams were using LiDAR and some were also exploring ROS.

Couldn't participate due to funding issues.
Unfortunately, even after being the champions in the national round and getting selected for the international round, we couldn't compete due to funding issues.
Next in line.
Reaching out to you to gather necessary funding in order to participate in the international round.

Our engineering philosophy is built on constant iteration and learning. Each robot we've built represents a significant leap in complexity, capability, and our own skills as engineers.

2022 - National
Base: Modified BLDC motor-based RC car.
Sensing: Five ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection and navigation.
Computation: Raspberry Pi for main logic and a Picamera for basic vision.
Control: Arduino for low-level motor and servo control.
Achievement: This was the robot that won us our first National Championship.

2022 - International
Sensing: HuskyLens for efficient AI vision. (In response, Huskylens became very popular in the following years.)
Computation: JRC Board (a Bangladeshi-made ESP32 breakout board) for control.
Chassis: A metal frame along with some 3D-printed components.
Achievement: This was the robot that secured the International Bronze Medal.

2025 (Current)
Sensing: LiDAR for precise spatial awareness and navigation.
Software: ROS2 for robust software architecture and control.
Development: Gazebo Simulation for extensive software testing and validation before physical deployment.
Achievement: Gold meal in WROBD 2025 Open Championship and National Finals.
Media coverage and press highlights featuring Team LazyGo's and its members' journey and achievements
Competing in global robotics events from a country like Bangladesh is never easy. Resources are scarce, and almost no companies or organizations step up to support teams like ours.
Yet in 2022, our team made it to Germany entirely on our own with no funding, no organizational support, and brought home Bangladesh’s first-ever bronze medal at the World Robot Olympiad.
Now, we’ve won the national championship again and qualified for WRO 2025 in Singapore, but we’re once again on our own.
